Booking & Reservations
How do I book a tour?
Booking is quick and easy through our online booking system. Simply choose your preferred date and tour time, complete your reservation, and you’ll receive an instant confirmation email.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. We strongly recommend booking ahead, especially during weekends and throughout the summer. Walk-ins are welcome if space is available, but we cannot guarantee availability.
Can I book over the phone?
We are happy to answer any questions by phone, but all bookings must be completed online.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes, provided there is availability on the tour you wish to join.
Do I have to pay when I book?
Yes. Payment is required to confirm your reservation.
Can I purchase gift cards?
Yes! To purchase a gift card, send us an email and our team will be happy to help.
Can I change my booking?
Yes. To make changes to an existing booking, send us an email or give us a call and our team will help you out. Changes are subject to availability.
Tour Information
How long is the experience?
Plan for approximately 1.5–2.5 hours from check-in until you finish the course. Tour length can vary depending on group size and conditions.
How many ziplines are there?
Your adventure includes 10 ziplines ranging from approximately 300 feet to over 2,200 feet.
Where are you located?
We’re located at 24 Main Road in Petty Harbour-Maddox Cove, just 15 minutes from downtown St. John’s.
Where do I park?
Free parking is available on-site.
Where do I check in?
Check in at our base on the Petty Harbour waterfront. Look for the blue building with the orange deck.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time. This gives us enough time to get everyone checked in, geared up, and ready to go.
What happens after check-in?
You’ll get geared up at our base, meet your guides, and receive instructions before taking our shuttle van up the hill to begin your adventure.
What time are your tours?
Our regular tour times are 9:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 3:30 PM.
Does the tour end where it starts?
Yes. After completing the course, we’ll transport you back to our base in Petty Harbour.
Physical Requirements
Is there hiking involved?
Yes. The walk up to the first zipline is approximately 1 km and includes uphill sections, stairs, ramps, and uneven terrain. Most guests complete the walk in around 20 minutes.
Do I need to be in good shape?
You don’t need to be an athlete, but you should be comfortable walking approximately 1 km uphill and navigating stairs, ramps, and uneven terrain.
Can I participate if I have bad knees?
Possibly! If you have concerns about your knees, mobility, or the walk up to the course, please reach out to us before booking. We’re happy to talk through your concerns and see how we can best accommodate you.
Is there lots of climbing?
The main climb is the approximately 1 km walk up to the first zipline. This includes uphill terrain, stairs, and ramps. There is also some walking between lines throughout the course.
Can I use walking poles?
If you require a walking pole or other assistance for the walk up, please reach out to us before your tour. We’ll talk through what you need and do our best to find a way to accommodate you.
Age & Weight Requirements
What is the minimum age?
Participants must be at least 8 years old.
What is the minimum weight?
Participants must weigh at least 70 lbs.
What is the maximum weight?
The maximum participant weight is 250 lbs.
Why are there weight restrictions?
Our minimum and maximum weight requirements are in place for the safe operation of the zipline equipment and course.
Safety & Nervous Guests
Is ziplining safe?
Safety is our top priority. Every guest receives safety instructions, is fitted with professional zipline equipment, and is accompanied throughout the course by our trained guides.
Do I need any ziplining experience?
Not at all! Many of our guests are ziplining for the very first time.
What if I’m afraid of heights?
That’s completely normal. Our guides work with nervous guests all the time and will help you throughout the experience. The first line is great to build confidence.
What is the first zipline like?
The first line is shorter and lower to the ground, giving you an opportunity to get comfortable with ziplining before moving on to the longer lines.
Do I have to go down the first line alone?
Yes. Every guest must complete the first zipline independently.
Can a guide zipline with me if I’m nervous?
Yes. After the first line, a guide may be able to ride tandem with you if needed. Tandem riding depends on the line, wind conditions, and guide discretion.
Can I zipline with my child?
There may be opportunities for two guests to ride together on certain lines. Tandem riding is completely dependent on wind conditions and guide discretion.
Can a guide ride with my child?
Yes. If needed, a guide can take your child tandem down lines.
Can my child, a guide, and I all go together?
No. Three-person tandem riding is not permitted.
What if I decide I don’t want to continue?
Let your guides know. If you decide before the first line that you don’t want to continue, or decide after completing the first line that you don’t want to continue, our guides can assist you with walking back down. After completing the second line, you must complete the rest of the course.
What to Wear
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable outdoor clothing suitable for the weather and physical activity. Newfoundland weather can change quickly, so layers are always a good idea.
Do I need closed-toe shoes?
Yes. Closed-toe footwear is required for all participants.
Can I wear sandals or flip-flops?
No. Closed-toe footwear is mandatory.
Do I need hiking boots?
No. Running shoes or other sturdy closed-toe footwear work well.
What should I do with long hair?
Long hair must be tied back before participating.
Can I wear glasses or sunglasses?
Yes. We recommend making sure they are secure before heading onto the course.
Equipment & Personal Belongings
Do you provide all the equipment?
Yes. We provide all necessary ziplining equipment, including your harness, helmet, trolley, and safety equipment.
Do you provide water?
Yes. Every guest receives a complimentary water bottle that clips directly onto their harness.
Can I bring my phone?
Yes. Phones are permitted at your own risk and must be securely stored or attached while on the course.
Do you have phone holders?
Yes. We have phone neck cases available for guests to use.
Can I take pictures and videos?
Yes! You’re welcome to capture the experience as long as your phone or camera is securely attached and you follow your guides’ instructions.
Can I bring a GoPro?
Yes, provided it can be securely mounted and does not interfere with your equipment.
Can I bring a backpack?
No. Backpacks are not permitted on the course.
Can I bring a small crossbody bag?
Yes, small crossbody bags may be permitted as long as they do not interfere with your harness or other safety equipment.
What should I do with my valuables?
We recommend bringing as little as possible onto the course. Anything you do bring should be securely stored or attached. We also have cubbies available for valuables that need to be left behind.
Weather
Do you operate in the rain?
Yes. A little Newfoundland rain doesn’t stop us! Tours can operate in the rain as long as conditions remain safe.
Do you operate in fog?
Yes. If anything, it makes your experience little more exciting!
What weather can cause a cancellation?
High winds, lightning, or other conditions that make operating the course unsafe may result in a delay or cancellation.
Who decides whether the weather is safe?
Our operations team monitors conditions and makes the final decision based on the weather at the course.
What happens if you cancel my tour because of weather?
If we’re unable to safely operate your tour, we’ll work with you to reschedule or provide a refund.
Should I assume my tour is cancelled if the weather looks bad?
No. Newfoundland weather can change quickly. Unless you hear from us, please plan to arrive for your scheduled tour.
Cancellations & Late Arrivals
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 72 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes to your reservation.
What if someone in my group can’t attend?
Contact us as soon as possible and we’ll let you know what options are available based on our cancellation policy.
What happens if I’m late?
Please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee that late guests will be able to join their originally scheduled tour.
Why do I need to arrive 30 minutes early?
Arriving early gives us enough time to check everyone in, complete any necessary waivers, get everyone geared up, and prepare the group before departure.
Spectators & Amenities
Can someone come with me without ziplining?
Yes. Friends and family are welcome to come to our base, but spectators cannot follow participants through the course.
Can spectators watch the ziplines?
There are limited viewing opportunities from the surrounding area, but spectators cannot access the course itself.
Are there washrooms?
Yes. Washrooms are available at our base.
Is there somewhere nearby to eat?
Yes. Petty Harbour Public House is located directly in front of our base and is a great option for a meal or drink before or after your adventure.
Is there somewhere to wait while my group is ziplining?
Yes. Petty Harbour is a great place to explore while you wait, and Petty Harbour Public House is conveniently located directly in front of us.

How far are you from downtown St. John’s?
We’re approximately 15 minutes from downtown St. John’s by car.
Is the experience suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. No previous ziplining experience is required.
Is this a good activity for visitors to Newfoundland?
Definitely. It’s a unique way to experience Newfoundland’s rugged landscape and incredible views while adding some adventure to your trip.
Can cruise ship passengers do the tour?
Yes. Just make sure you have enough time to travel to Petty Harbour, complete the experience, and return to your ship before departure.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. All participants must complete the required waiver before participating.
Can a parent sign for a child?
Yes. A parent or legal guardian must complete the required waiver for minors.
Can I drink alcohol before ziplining?
No. Anyone who appears to be impaired by alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate.
Can I smoke or vape on the course?
No. Smoking and vaping are not permitted on the course.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are the main things you’ll need. We provide your ziplining equipment and a complimentary water bottle.
What should I leave behind?
Avoid bringing backpacks, loose valuables, or anything that cannot be securely stored or attached.
Will my clothes get dirty?
They can. This is an outdoor adventure through natural Newfoundland terrain, so we recommend wearing clothing you’re comfortable being active in.
Is the course scary?
That depends on the person! The course gives you an opportunity to build confidence as you progress from the shorter first line to some of our longer and more exciting ziplines.
What happens if it’s windy?
Our team monitors wind conditions throughout the day. Tours may continue in windy conditions when it is safe to do so, but certain procedures, including tandem riding, may change depending on the wind.
How do I check availability?
Our online booking system displays current tour dates, times, and availability.
What’s the best tour time?
There really isn’t a bad one! Morning, afternoon, and late-afternoon tours each offer a different experience in Petty Harbour.
What’s the longest zipline?
Our longest line stretches more than 2,200 feet.
How many guides come with us?
The number of guides depends on the size of your group and operational requirements.
Is transportation included?
Yes. Transportation between our base and the course is included as part of your experience.
